The village of Lippiano, a 5-minute drive from the house, has a small bar/café and post office which is open on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. 

Monterchi, a few minutes further on, will be your nearest port of call for emergency basic essentials. There is a small supermarket, SIDIS, on the main road opposite the bank.

You’ll find a pharmacy in Monterchi, two café/bars and two good local restaurants. ‘Pieve Vecchia’ has a wonderful terrace for outside dining in the summer while ‘Al Trovato’ is located in Monterchi’s old town.

Fresh fruit and vegetables can be found at La Papaia, and a weekly market is held in the village every Sunday morning. To really stock up, visit the historic towns of Sansepolcro or Città di Castello. They both have large supermarkets, weekly markets and a good selection of shops.
