There are mature olive, fig, cherry and plum trees that provide an abundance of fruit in season, and newly planted olive, peach and apple trees. Running along the front of the house is a shady terrace with tubs of flowers and sweet-smelling jasmine, honeysuckle and wisteria climbing the terrace’s bamboo-covered roof. It is the perfect place to sit and enjoy a morning cappuccino, read a book in the shade during the heat of a summer’s afternoon or to sip a glass or two of wine in the evening as you watch the fireflies gather.

The pool is situated at the side of the house with banks of lavender, thyme, rosemary and juniper growing alongside and olive trees below. Here you can simply relax under an umbrella and enjoy the glorious landscape before you.fleuron

The Garden

When I arrived at Casa Verde for the first time, the terraced garden was very overgrown but full of butterflies, bees and birds.
Although additional shrubs, flowers and trees have since been planted, I have tried to keep a natural feel to the garden in keeping with Casa Verde’s lovely surroundings.
Please be aware that….
The pool is unfenced and the garden is terraced in places.
Well-behaved dogs (one at a time!) are welcome but please do clean up after them.
Smoking is not permitted inside the house.
There is no television at Casa Verde.
With the compliments of Casa Verde A welcome basket containing olive oil, sugar, tea, coffee, pasta, pasta sauce, bread and seasonal fresh fruit from the garden. There will also be milk in the fridge and a bottle of Prosecco or wine waiting, depending on your preference.
